Michael Bradley may be goat now but he’s also heart and soul for U.S.

In the first half of an April friendly against Mexico, Michael Bradley was everywhere, scoring the first U.S. goal, setting up the second and ravaging a stellar Mexican defense by dominating possession, dictating pace and spraying passes all over the field.

It was the best 45 minutes by anyone in an American uniform in ages. Mexico Coach Miguel Herrera went even further.

“Bradley,” he would say afterward, “looked as if he was the best player in the world.”

Two games into this World Cup, that Bradley has yet to show up.
