Ice Hockey: Quick Hits from the 2014 NHL Draft – LIVE BLOG — FIRST ROUND UPDATED

Connor Clifton and Adam Erne were a pair of players with ties to the Garden State who were selected at the 2013 NHL draft at The Prudential Center last June in Newark.

A mere two-hour drive down the New Jersey Turnpike shifts the focus to The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia this season, which will play host the 2014 NHL draft, a two-day affair, beginning tomorrow, Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m.

With as many as four New Jersey players up for grabs, The Star-Ledger will be live so feel free to chime in, ask questions and post comments.

UPDATE: Here live in Philadelphia with Rich Chere and Randy Miller at the 2014 NHL Draft… Rumours abound that the host team is looking to make a splash and move into position to make the first pick of the draft… There are over 200 friends and family in attendance in support of Sewell, NJ native Anthony DeAngelo.
