Kevin Durant is a bad, bad man. And so far in 2014, he’s been badder than ever. He led the NBA in scoring for the fourth time in his career, he led the Thunder to the Western Conference Finals once again, and he picked up regular season MVP honors along the way. No big deal.

If the first half of 2014 is any indication of what’s next to come, then LeBron and the rest of the League better look out. KD’s coming. With that in mind, we thought it only right to pick out Durant’s Top 10 Baddest Moments of 2014 so far. Here they are, presented in chronological order below.

How did the Lakers manage to vault into serious contention for Carmelo Anthony’s talents last week? It probably had something to do with money and the idea of the Lakers’ being “Carmelo’s team” after Kobe Bryant retires. Plus, a current roster of Melo, Kobe, Julius Randle and (maybe?) Pau Gasol isn’t bad. Probably better than what the Knicks can offer in 2014 (though not the Bulls, certainly). Turns out John Ireland of the Mason & Ireland radio show in Los Angeles has details of how the Lakers’ pitch meeting went. And it was… curiously devoid of things related to basketball.

Neymar denies aiming for return to World Cup

BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil — Neymar and the Brazilian football confederation denied media reports that the striker could undergo special treatment on his fractured vertebra to try to play in the World Cup final if the tournament hosts make it that far.

Neymar and the confederation released statements late Sunday saying that nothing that could risk the player’s health or career would be attempted to allow him to try to play if Brazil beats Germany in Tuesday’s semifinals.

The statements came after the Brazilian media quoted doctors from the Brazilian club Santos, Neymar’s former team, as saying there was a chance the striker could return for Sunday’s final with alternative treatments and painkiller injections….

took Ronda Rousey just 16 seconds to defend her UFC women’s bantamweight title against Alexis Davis.

One solid right hand, one knee to the body, then a hip toss followed by a machine gun battering of short rights on the ground. With that, Davis (16-6 MMA, 3-1 UFC) was out and Rousey (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) was still the champ.
